Rio Vista Olives: Passion, Tradition, and Quality in Australian Extra Virgin Olive Oil

Rio Vista Olives was established in 1996 from the dedication and hard work of Augusto and Helen Lorenzetti, who hand-planted every olive tree in the sunny town of Mypolonga, South Australia. A project born out of love for the land and passion for extra virgin olive oil.

In 2016, Augusto and Helen decided to pass the baton to a new family with the same vision and enthusiasm: the Bettios. With a lifelong connection to the culture of food and conviviality, the Bettios had already purchased an olive grove in the picturesque location of Mount Torrens in the Adelaide Hills, and meeting the Lorenzettis marked the beginning of further expansion. All olives are carefully cultivated, hand-picked, cold-pressed, and packaged directly onsite, ensuring a product of artisanal quality.

With their background in the construction industry, Lui and Tracie, together with their children Leon, Imogen, Jared, Jacqueline, and Sarah, fully embraced the world of olive oil. Traveling between Italy, Spain, and the United States, they acquired new skills and certifications. Jared is a Master Miller, while Sarah is an Olive Oil Sommelier, ready to guide consumers on a sensory journey to discover the flavors of extra virgin olive oil. Rio Vista Olives promotes a culture of genuine food and community, emphasizing simple, high-quality ingredients. With children, chickens, cows, and sheep roaming among the olive groves, the company adopts biodynamic practices, respecting both the environment and tradition.
